Crater Lake National Park

Day 1 – Arrival & Sunset Views

• Arrive in the Crater Lake area by afternoon

• Settle into your accommodation (campground, lodge, or nearby motel)

• Short walk or scenic stop at Rim Village or Crater Lake Lodge

• Sunset at Watchman Overlook
  🔗 Watchman Lookout Viewpoint

• Steel visitor center

• Sinnott Memorial observation station viewpoint

Day 2 – Swim, Hike & Stargaze (Saturday)

• Morning:

  • Hike down the Cleetwood Cove Trail (2.1 miles RT, 600 ft elevation)
    ➤ Go for a swim or relax by the lake

  • Optional: Boat Tour from Cleetwood Cove (reserve in advance)

• Afternoon:

  • Lunch at Rim Village or picnic outdoors

  • Merriam Point viewpoint

  • Hike the Annie Creek Canyon Trail (1.7 miles, 300 ft elevation)

• Evening:

  • Dinner nearby or at the lodge

  • Stargazing at Rim Village, the campground, or Crater Lake Lodge

Day 3 – Scenic Stops & Departure (Sunday)

• Morning:

  • Visit Sinnott Memorial Overlook and Steel Visitor Center

  • Optional short hike or photo stop at the Pinnacles Viewpoint

• If time and energy allow:

  • Garfield Peak Trail (3.5 miles, 1,100 ft elevation gain) for a stunning final view
