  • 3:30 PMMorning Glory Pool (via Upper Geyser Basin Loop) – 3.5 mi, Easy (optional for the day if we haven’t done it yesterday)

  • Dunraven Pass: At 8,859 feet, this is the highest road in the park, offering expansive night sky views.

  • Upper Geyser Basin (Old Faithful area): Experience the stars amidst steaming geysers; the area is less crowded at night.

  • Mammoth Hot Springs: The travertine terraces provide a unique foreground for stargazing. ​

Yellowstone National Park

  • Lamar Valley: Known for its wildlife and expansive views, it's a prime location for sunset photography.

  • Yellowstone Lake (Lake Butte Overlook): Offers serene lake views with the sun setting over the water.

  • Artist Point: Provides dramatic canyon vistas, especially captivating during sunset. ​

Tips for Nighttime Activities:

  • Safety: Always carry a flashlight or headlamp, and be aware of wildlife.

  • Preparation: Dress in layers to accommodate temperature changes after sunset.

  • Equipment: Bring a tripod for photography and binoculars for stargazing.​
