Yosemite FireFall Weekend
Day 1—Friday: Arrival + FireFall
Airport pickup (around 8–8:15 AM)
Safeway San Leandro pickup at 9:00 am. Meeting point address here.
15 min grocery and snacks at Safeway, San Leandro
Arrive in Yosemite around 2–3 PM
El capitán Meadow for the firefall at Horsetail Fall (viewpoint)
Dinner Suggestion:
Dinner at the Airbnb or Yosemite food court
Heading to the Airbnb.
Night: stargazing at the Airbnb, board games, sleep, or whatever you prefer.
Day 2 – Saturday: Yosemite Falls Hike & Firefall.
Breakfast early at 9 am
Leaving the Airbnb at 10 AM and heading up to Visit Tunnel View (viewpoint) for 15-20 mins
Visit Bridal Veil Falls (viewpoint) for 15-20 mins.
Reach Yosemite Valley at 11:30 am. Visit the gift stores and grab some snacks. (for 30-40 mins)
Park at Yosemite Lower Falls trailhead around 1 PM
Visit Yosemite Lower Falls. Easy hike, quick, family-friendly (AllTrails link)
Break and food time
El capitán Meadow for the firefall at Horsetail Fall (viewpoint)
Dinner Suggestion:
Late dinner at Airbnb or any restaurant of your choice
Night
stargazing at the Airbnb, board games, sleep, or whatever you prefer
Best time for stargazing: 10:00 PM–12:00 AM (New moon ideal—check lunar calendar)
Day 3 – Sunday: Sequoia Grove Exploration
Early breakfast, pack up at 8 am
Check out at 9 am.
Visit Mariposa Grove
hike (Mariposa Grove sequoias). Easy 2-mile roundtrip hike. (all trail link)
Leave Yosemite by 1–2 PM to avoid late traffic.
Grab lunch on our way back to San Francisco or eat on the way.
Back to SF by 7–8 PM
