📅 Day 1: Friday, February 21 – Arrival & Exploration

🚗 Morning:

  • Meet in the Bay Area for carpooling (exact time & location TBD).

  • Drive to Yosemite National Park (approx. 4-5 hours).

  • Stop for quick snacks/lunch along the way.

🏡 Afternoon:

  • Arrive at our cozy cabin/lodge near Yosemite.

  • Check-in, relax, and get settled.

📸 Photography Workshop (Sunset & Night Photography)

  • Location: Tunnel View & Valley View – Iconic Yosemite landscapes.

  • Learn composition, long-exposure techniques, and camera settings for stunning sunset and stargazing shots.

  • Sunset shoot at Valley View, followed by a stargazing session and astrophotography workshop (weather permitting).

📅 Day 2: Saturday, February 22 – Firefall & Winter Adventures

🥾 Morning:

  • Breakfast at the cabin.

  • Easy winter hike options:

    • Lower Yosemite Falls Trail (1.2 miles, easy)

    • Mirror Lake Trail (2 miles, easy)

    • Bridalveil Fall Trail (0.5 miles, easy)

🔥 Afternoon: Firefall Viewing & Photography Workshop

  • Firefall Viewing at Horsetail Fall – Arrive early to secure the best spot!

  • Photography workshop covering best settings for sunset glow, composition tips, and time-lapse techniques.

  • Learn how to capture the dramatic fire-like effect as the sun hits the waterfall.

  • Enjoy the breathtaking natural spectacle as the waterfall glows like lava.

🌙 Evening:

  • Dinner at the cabin or a nearby restaurant.

  • Optional Night Photography Session – Capture star trails, the Milky Way (if visible), and dramatic winter landscapes under the night sky.

📅 Day 3: Sunday, February 23 – Scenic Views & Departure

🌄 Morning:

  • Sunrise at Glacier Point or Cook’s Meadow for stunning winter views.

  • Breakfast and check out from the cabin.

🚗 Afternoon:

  • Visit Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (if accessible)

  • Start the drive back to the Bay Area with optional stops for lunch/snacks.

  • Expected arrival back home by evening.

  • Weather Dependent: Firefall is only visible if conditions are right. We’ll monitor the forecast closely.

  • Photography Workshop Included: Perfect for beginners and advanced photographers. Bring your camera, tripod, and wide-angle/zoom lenses for the best shots!

  • Packing List Provided: Warm layers, gloves, waterproof boots, and camera gear recommended.
